Has Rob Been "Vetted?"
I have applied once to be appointed as Judge of the Baltimore County Circuit Court in November 2023. As part of that application process, I requested to be fully vetted by all 12 of the local bar associations including:
· Maryland State Bar Association
· Women's Bar Association
· Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland, Inc.
· Monumental City Bar Association
· Maryland State’s Attorneys’ Association
· Women’s Law Center of Maryland, Inc.
· Baltimore County Bar Association
· Maryland Hispanic Bar Association
· Maryland Defense Counsel, Inc.
· Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Bar Association of Maryland
· Maryland Association for Justice, Inc.
· Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Maryland, Inc.
I was interviewed by, and deemed “Qualified,” by every single organization that interviewed me. Two of these fine organizations provide candidates with written notification of their recommendations and a photo of one of those letters is shown here. Only one organization, the Women’s Bar Association, chose not to interview any candidates for this opening, but I serve on their Board of Directors, so I suspect I would have done quite well.
I am proud of my legal experience and my record of community service with distinction. I would put my qualifications against those of any other candidate in this race any day, anywhere, anytime. And if anyone tells you that I was “not fully vetted,” they aren’t telling you the truth. What else might they be lying about?
In this election, the choice is clear. If you want to support the most qualified candidate in the race, I’m asking for your single-shot-vote for me and ONLY me, Candidate #2 on all ballots. I’m deeply grateful for your consideration, and your support.
